A communications consultant for 17 years, Pat Roberts worked at Kaizo in London from 2003 to 2006, specialising in corporate affairs and strategy, and in issues/crisis management.
In 2006 he left to operate as an independent communications consultant, trading as Cognis Public Relations.
Before joining Kaizo he was a director at boutique agency Abel Hadden & Company. For the previous ten years he was Corporate Affairs Director (and later Deputy Managing Director) of the London office of the global PR agency Edelman.
Prior to that, after attending courses at universities in Paris, Grenoble, Strasbourg, Vienna and Berlin, he took a degree in modern languages at Oxford University, then served for over 20 years in Britain’s diplomatic service in South East Asia, Africa and Europe. His last posting, before resigning to pursue a career in public relations, was as Counsellor for Press & Information and Consul General at the British Embassy in Paris.
His unusually wide perspective on global political, social and commercial issues make him valued as a communications and reputation consultant and messaging adviser to senior clients.
